Do I really need a chimney cap?
If you want to keep rain, animals, and debris out of your flue, yes. An uncapped chimney takes on water every time it rains, and water is the number one thing that destroys chimneys in Oklahoma. It's the cheapest protection your chimney can get.
What does a spark arrestor do?
It's the mesh screen built into the cap that catches hot embers before they can escape onto your roof or into dry grass. The same mesh is what keeps birds and squirrels out, so one part does two jobs.
Can you match my chimney's look?
Yes. Caps come in stainless, black, and copper finishes and in single-flue, multi-flue, and full-coverage styles. We'll size it to your flue and pick a style that suits the house rather than a one-size-fits-all unit.
How fast can you install one?
Most chimney cap replacements are done in a single visit, and standard sizes are usually on the truck. If your flue needs a custom or multi-flue cap we'll measure on the first trip and install as soon as it arrives.
